The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) has begun accepting public comments on the Proposition 57 regulations, a bill recently approved by voters to—as proposed—enhance public safety, stop the revolving door of crime by emphasizing rehabilitation and prevent federal courts from indiscriminately releasing inmates.

Ballots have been mailed for an upcoming vote on the Cross Creek Flood Control District’s levee project. Property owners who received the mail-in ballots have until Aug. 28 to signal whether or not they approve the $10 million repayment for the project.

Guillermo Espinoza was born in San Fernando, Ca September 16, 1936. He passed away at his daughter’s home June 29, 2017 at the age of 74.
Services were held for Tommy Joe Salgado, who was born April 28, 1937 in El Centro, California to Antonio and Virginia Salgado. He passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Hanford at the age of 80.
