The people of Corcoran is what Corcoran City Councilman Jerry Robertson loves most about his hometown. He also feels that people should give back to their community so that’s how he got started serving as a councilman—that and a visit from two locals is what kick started his public service career.

Boswell Scholar: Cindy Gamble O'Neill

The Corcoran Journal will publish a series of articles which will visit past Colonel James G. Boswell Scholarship winners and update local residents on where they are now. This week The Journal will feature Boswell Scholar Cindy Gamble O’Neill.
O’Neill, 50, currently resides in Alpharetta, Georgia. She is a 1986 graduate of Corcoran high School. While attending CHS, O’Neill was very active in extra-curricular activities. She participated in cheerleading, basketball, tennis, softball and band.

Meik breaks world record in rockets

A Guiness World Record and cash prize of $30,000 is not a bad way to spend a weekend Just ask Riley Meik. Meik and his group from the Brigham Young University Rocketry Club entered the 2018 Bayer Alta-Rocket Challenge in December and brought home the cash prize and the world record with their entry.
