Dianne Gage passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Colorado Springs Colorado on March 9th, 2016. Dianne was born in Sacramento California to Gladys and Woody Apperson on March 13th, 1936.
Gary Davis “Dode”

Gary Davis a former resident of Corcoran, known to many as “Dode”, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
CEC, Dias restore classic car

Barrie Boyett of Corcoran recently had some restoration work done on his 1976 Buick Electra. The car, which Boyett had purchased brand new from Boyett Chevrolet in 1975 had been stored for 25 years prior to be restored.
Students attend board meeting

A group of high school students showed up at the local school board meeting last week, supporting teacher Brian Whitfield and highlighting changes taking place in the high school curriculum. Whitfield, a tenured teacher, had been given his notice of termination due to shifts in classes as a result of continued implementation of the national Common Core program.
George earns two state titles
Justin George of Corcoran has had a busy couple of weekends recently. He was out with his rifle earning his way to two state championship titles two weekends in a row.
Man arrested
A Corcoran man has been arrested for allegedly threatening his family with a gun.
According to the police department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Alder Ave. on Sunday, Feb. 28, at about 11:54 p.m. regarding a male subject who was making such threats. Officers met with a female adult at the residence. She and her three children were in the front yard.
Businesses burglarized
Corcoran police received a call of a burglary in progress at the Pizza Factory at approximately 5:45 a.m. Monday and before the day was over, had arrested 23-year-old Peter Vasquez of Corcoran.
Water cuts continue through June
They say April showers will bring May flowers, but Corcoran residents need to hope there are some April showers. Otherwise, local lawns and landscapes will only by watered once a week, definitely not conducive to growing flowers.

John Santos was born on August 2, 1951 and passed away on March 9, 2016 at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco after a lengthy battle with bone marrow cancer.
