In only a few days our nation’s flag will flutter on porches across the country honoring our veterans. Small towns with its residents who can trace its military service back for several generations will commence festivities for its local heroes.
Glenn Kreider passed peacefully at home on Oct. 23 with his loving family and George by his side.
Debra O. King “Debbie” was born in Tulare, California on December 31, 1954. She passed away October 29, 2016 in Visalia at the age of 61.
Micaela Castro died on September 27, 2016, one week from her 93rd birthday. She was a life-long Corcoran resident except for the first and last few years of her life and could never bear to be away from her beloved town for too long.
VALLEY CHAMPIONS! The Corcoran High School varsity girls’ tennis team just wrapped up the perfect season. The Lady Panthers finished 19-0, and were East Sequoia League champs as well as Div. Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 14 for longtime civic activist Gladys P. Elliott, who died Sunday, Nov. 6. She was 99.
CNN has featured a report on a medical aid invented by a local pharmacist.
Pill Glide—a spray that makes it easier to swallow pills—was brought to the market by Corcoran’s Jerry Robertson. It is now being marketed by FlavorX, which provided the spray for a trial that was reported on in the journal Pediatrics.
Mass services were held Wednesday, Nov. 9 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Luis Benny Villareal, 54, who died Nov. 2 in Hanford following a brief illness.
