Albert Gomez passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 9, 2016 at the age of 76.
He was born April 27, 1939 in Tulare, CA to Ygnacio and Manuela Gomez. Al’s mother died when he was very young, and his father remarried Consuelo Verdugo and together, they raised their seven children.
Albert Graduated from Corcoran High School as a proud Panther in 1958. Most of his life was spent working in the agricultural field and doing Ag Electrical work. In 2009, after being diagnosed with kidney cancer, he retired from his Ag Electrical business and began traveling between WA, OR and CA while living life to the fullest. Some of his most cherished memories were farming along side his father for WW Boswell, Jr., learning to fly planes, class reunions, fishing and hunting. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his three children Debbie (Ron) Roselius, Allette (Chuck) Hornung and Rodney (Pam) Gomez. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sue Lindsey and brothers, Frank, Ruben, Bert, Ernie and Benny Gomez, along with numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Episcopal Church of the Saviour, 519 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA at 11:00 A.M. with a reception to follow.
