Free American Flags are still available to Corcoran, Alpaugh and Waukena residents. The Corcoran Community Foundation partnered with the Corcoran Chamber of Commerce to offer the American Flag Replacement Program.
As part of a business and residential beautification grant, The Corcoran Community Foundation is providing grant money to replace tattered and worn flags flying at both businesses and homes in Corcoran, Alpaugh and Waukena. The program will replace the American flags free of charge.
Residents can take their old American Flag to the chamber office and trade it for a new one. Old flags which are collected will be recorded and honorably retired.
For more information call Lisa Shaw at 992-4514 or stop by the office at 1040 Whitley Avenue. Also any residents who do not currently have a flag can also obtain a flag for free. See Lisa at the Chamber for more information.
