Mass services will be held Friday, March 4 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Anthony Ernest Martinez, 70, who died Feb. 5.
Anthony was born Oct. 31, 1951 in Tulare to Lucas E. Martinez and Hazel Campos Martinez. Anthony was retired from Corcoran State Prison as a Materials and Store Supervisors after 20 years of devoted service.
He was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus. Anthony was very devoted to the church and his family. He was also a longtime fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Esther; his son, Anthony and wife, Jessica; his daughter, Veronica; his father, Lucas Martinez; his sister, Myra; brother, Mark; grandchildren, Toni Marie, Edward, Anessa and Jazmine; and great granddaughter, Nylah Marie Martinez.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel and sister, Paulette Alvidrez.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church from 6-7 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Following mass services Friday, March 4 interment will be at Corcoran District Cemetery.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Bledsoe Family Peoples Funeral Chapel in Corcoran.
