A Corcoran man has been charged with rape after a female juvenile from Hanford leveled the allegations at him.

Corcoran officers responded to the complaint, interviewing the alleged victim in Hanford. The 17-year-old told officers she had been given alcohol and narcotics before being driven over to Corcoran and raped by a man she knew as Garrison.

Officers identified the suspect as 20-year-old Garrison Crumb. They conducted a search of Crumb’s residence in the 1000 block of Hale Ave. and found evidence that backed up the victim’s report.

They later contacted Crumb, who was arrested. While being questioned, the suspect said he had had sex with the minor.

He was charged with rape of a drugged victim, annoying and molesting a child under 18, sex with a minor and sexual battery.

He was being held at the Kings County Jail on a bail of $80,000.

Early Saturday morning, police arrested Roman Chavez, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile on burglary charges after receiving a call to the 2200 block of Garvey Ave. on a report of suspicious people inside a residence.

The two were caught essentially red handed leaving the house and both had items on them that had been taken from the residence. When interviewed, both admitted entering the home and taking money.

The juvenile was taken to the Kings County Juvenile Center in Hanford and Chavez was transported to the county jail and booked on charges of burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
