Community members: John C. Fremont and Bret Harte schools are holding a book erie for any used reading books that are in good condition and appropriate for reading levels spanning kindergarten through sixth grade.

If the schools receive enough donations, students will be able to trade one of their personally-owned books from home for one of the donated books. This will give students more reading options over the summer. With some success, we will be able to continue the program on a monthly basis during the 2014-2015 school year.

Donated books can be dropped off from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 16 at John C. Fremont school. During the school day, books can be dropped off in the main office or in the school library from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Linda Hernandez at 992-8883 Ext 3225.
