A memorial was held last Thursday, Sept. 17 at Waukena Community Church in Waukena for Bill White, 89, of Corcoran who died Sept. 10, on his 67th wedding anniversary.
Mr. White, “Poppa Bill”, was born in St. James, Arkansas. He was a proud veteran of World War II. He was also a past master of the Corcoran Masonic Lodge and long-time deacon of the Corcoran Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Norma White; his three sons, Steve White, Doug White and Tim White; his sister-in-law, Sue Gange; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
