Bret Harte School will be holding Kindergarten registration for eligible students with birthdays between Dec. 3, 2010-Dec. 2, 2011. Registration will be held on Monday, March 14, Tuesday, March 15, Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17. Those are the only days scheduled for registration so parents of eligible students must make an appointment.

No child will be allowed to register or enroll in kindergarten unless their immunizations are complete. They will also need the following:
–Legal birth certificate (Must be five years old by Dec. 2, 2016). Birth certificate can be obtained at the Kings County Clerk’s office. No hospital certificate will be accepted.
–Proof of residency (utility bill/receipts of parents).
–Shot record which includes the following: Polio: four doses, or three with the last one given after the fourth birthday. DPT: five doses, or four with the last one given after the fourth birthday. MMR: two doses given after the first birthday. Hepatitis B: three doses required. Varicella: (Chicken Pox): one dose (or physician verified disease).
Students whose birthday falls between Dec. 3, 2010 and Sept. 1, 2011 will enroll for kindergarten. Students whose birthday falls between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2, 2011 will enroll for transitional kindergarten-a two-year kindergarten program.
