A brazen burglar broke into a home in the 1000 block of Jepsen Ave. Monday morning, Feb. 2, at about 2 a.m.

The burglar apparently entered the home through a window while the residents were at home. The occupants awoke to the male suspect standing in their bedroom.

The suspect was described as a male approximately 5’8″-5’10″, wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing.

The man took a 50″ television set from the residence and fled the scene.

Corcoran police are working on several leads but ask that if anyone has information regarding the burglary, or are approached by anyone attempting to sell property matching the description, they call the contact Det. Harris at 559-469-7248 or 559-992-5151.

“We are determined to solve this case,” noted Chief Reuben Shortnacy. “We are putting all our resources into it. It is a very dangerous proposition when someone enters an occupied home.”

He added that it’s a good reminder to residents to always lock their doors and windows.
