YMCA Camp at Lake Sequoia is invited local families to join in preparing the camp for summer sessions.
Opening weekend will be held May 23-25 and individuals and families are invited to attend for just a day – or remain the entire weekend. Food service will start with Saturday morning breakfast and end with a sack lunch on Sunday.
The opening weekend is an annual event for volunteers and staff from all over the state. It’s the time they gather to sweep all cabins, rake pine needles and do some painting projects.
For those who cannot attend, but who would like to help, a $50 donation buys three new rakes; $150 will pay for painting a cabin or a rest-room.
