Corcoran High School girls’ tennis team that day of reckoning was last Tuesday at the hands of the Royals who came to town and walked away with a convincing 7-2 victory in the quarterfinals of the Division 3 playoffs.

Salinas, Pappilli are top CHS athletes
Corcoran High School held their annual Athlete of the Year banquet last week in the Technology Learning Center (TLC). Two overall athletes of the year were named along with Class athletes of the year and scholar athletes of the year. Taking home the top honor of Overall Athletes of the Year were seniors Roy Salinas and Ashley Pappilli.
Quincy Butler signs with Sac Republic FC
The Butler family of Corcoran has much to celebrate. Quincy Butler, 15, of Sacramento has signed with the Sacramento Republic Football Club as a forward. The high school junior has joined the team on an academy/USL (United Soccer League) contract, which is a unique contract which will allow Butler to retain his amateur status for college.
Montoy earns scholarship to UCSB
Ricardo Montoy Jr. of Corcoran has continued his soccer career after playing for four years at Corcoran High School. Montoy, who plays goalkeeper and was an East Sequoia League all-league pick while a Panther, played for two years at Taft College.
CHS girls tennis captures Valley title with dream season
VALLEY CHAMPIONS! The Corcoran High School varsity girls’ tennis team just wrapped up the perfect season. The Lady Panthers finished 19-0, and were East Sequoia League champs as well as Div. CHS tennis claims two more wins
The Corcoran High girls’ tennis team picked up a pair of road wins this past week and improved to 5-0 in league play (8-0, overall).
Cross country faces top teams
The Corcoran High cross country team competed in the Kingsburg two-mile race Saturday. Once again they faced several Top 15 teams.
CHS volleyball beats Orosi, Farmersville
The Corcoran High Lady Panther varsity volleyball team won their last two games against Orosi and Farmersville.
