The Corcoran District Hospital (CDH) board is providing grants for projects which promote activities and programs that improve the health and well-being of District residents. The Corcoran District Hospital (CDH) board is providing grants for projects which promote activities and programs that improve the health and well-being of District residents.

Grant applicants must primarily reside or be organized or incorporated within the local hospital district. Applicants must show that District residents will be the primary beneficiaries of the program or service that the grant funds will be applied towards.All types of patient healthcare services and programs are eligible for consideration for an award of grant funds, provided that they advance the District’s goals, vision and mission; that mission is to meet the health care needs of the District residents through the provision of health care services, wellness projects, public awareness, and health education. Applications are available at the CDH website at https://corcoranhospital.specialdistrict.org/, by contacting the district at 1040 Whitley Avenue or by mail to P.O. Box 758, Corcoran, CA 93212. Once a completed application is submitted the District Board may contact the applicant for a conference or possible site visit. The board will then review the proposal which will be followed by a board vote.Currently, The District is working on a variety of projects which will benefit local residents. According to Board Chairman Mike Graville, the District is currently negotiating with companies to possibly bring both physical therapy and dialysis services to Corcoran. They are also planning to add a physical fitness area at the J.G. Boswell II Park located near the Rotary Pavilion and soccer fields on Whitley Avenue. Another project in the works includes the addition of pickle ball courts on Patterson Avenue on the Recreation Association of Corcoran grounds as well as funding a pump track at Gateway Park on Otis and Orange avenues. And, through hte Corcoran Chamber the District has also provided cleaning systems consisting of back pack sprayers and disinfectant to local businesses to help in the fight against COVID-19.
