Corcoran District Cemetery is planning a clean-up week in January.

Residents with loved ones buried at the cemetery are notified that all items will be removed from local gravesites during the week of Jan. 19-25. Items will also be taken down from headstones and vases.

Items the families wish to retain should be removed by Sunday, Jan. 18.

Items removed by the cemetery will be discarded during the week. Volunteers are welcome to help in the clean-up. A space or a roll-off bin will be supplied by the cemetery, where the items can be placed. Families can be of assistance by clearing away items from their own family gravesites.

Families are being reminded not to place new items on the gravesites during this period. They will be removed and discarded. Items may be placed at the gravesites and in vases after Jan. 25.

For more information, contact the cemetery during office hours, 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., at 993-3209.
