The Corcoran Chamber of Commerce has chosen its top citizens who will be honored at the annual banquet, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 6. Taking home the top awards this year will be Man of the Year-Raul Gomez; Woman of the Year-Anita Roby; Jr. Citizen of the Year-Oscar Miranda; and Organization of the Year-Corcoran 50-50 Club.
The banquet will be held in the Recreation Association of Corcoran’s gymnasium. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m., appetizers and table judging will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. immediately followed by awards ceremony and slide show.
Advanced tickets are required and tickets are $35 per person. Appetizers will be served prior to dinner and they include Tomato and Basil Bruschetta, served on sourdough rounds, domestic cheese and crackers and linguica bites. Dinner includes Santa Maria tri-Tip and glazed pork loin, scalloped potatoes, seasonal vegetables, fancy green salad with pickled beets, fresh fruit salad and French rolls with butter. And assorted cakes will be served for dessert as well as iced tea, coffee and wine.
The chamber is looking for businesses to decorate tables for the event. Decorating a table is a chance to highlight and promote your business while earning a chance to win a free chamber membership which is valued at up to $550. The chamber will supply a white tablecloth and each table seats eight people.
