The Corcoran Chamber of Commerce’s 103rd Annual Christmas Parade will be held Thursday, December 1. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Christmas in LegoLand”. Keep the theme in mind as this will be one of the judge’s criteria for the awards. Also, the judges will give special consideration for use of lights on the parade entries. Entries without lights or a Christmas theme will not be allowed in the parade.
For the safety of parade attendees, please do not throw any candy, toys, etc. from your entry.
Also, please no entries dressed as Santa Claus. Santa Claus will be at the end of the parade and later in the park for the children.
Parade categories include: Floats-Civic/Non-Profit, Floats-Commercial, Floats-School, Floats-Family, Bands-High School, Bands-Jr. High, Bands-Elementary, Antique Car Club, Car/Truck Club, Comic and Novelty, Marching/Walking Group, Performing Group (dancers, twirlers, etc.), Decorated Motor Vehicle, Decorated Farm Equipment, Equipment, and Other.
Parade entry forms are due by Wednesday, November 23 at noon. All entries received after this date will be assigned to the end of the parade and must be called in. Parade line-up is at 6:00 p.m. at Whitley and Letts (next to the High School) with the parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please return completed entry form to Corcoran Chamber of Commerce, which is located at 1040 Whitley Ave. next to Christmas Tree Park.
