The City of Corcoran has amended its three-day-per-week outdoor watering schedule. Under the new schedule, residential water users will no longer be allowed to irrigation their lawns and/or landscaping on Mondays.
The new schedule is as follows:
–Residential and commercial properties with addresses ending in even numbers may irrigate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays;
–Residential and commercial properties with addresses ending in odd numbers can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays;
–Churches may irrigate on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays;
–Multi-family complexes can water Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays;
-No watering is allowed during and up to 48 hours following measurable rainfall. Additionally, the city does not allow washing of sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, courts, patios or other paved areas.
Run-off of water on areas not requiring irrigation will be considered water waste. Automobiles, trucks, trailers, boats, airplanes and other types of vehicles may be washed when using a hand-held hose equipped with a positive shut-off nozzle.
The schedule does not apply to water customers using a drip irrigation system to water gardens, plants, trees, shrubs and other landscape areas.
Any violation of the water schedule could result in a citation. For more information about the watering schedule, contact city hall at 992-2151.
