The City of Corcoran is hosting their annual Spring Clean-Up Monday, April 4 through Saturday, April 30 from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Kings Waste and Recycling Authority on Hanford-Armona Road.

The event is free to any customer current and paying for refuse services with the City of Corcoran. All participants must present one form of identification to match the name on the bill to obtain a voucher. Vouchers can be obtained at City Hall, 832 Whitley Avenue starting Monday, March 28. Only one voucher is allowed per household.

Residents disposing of tires will be charged $3-$12 per tire for a limit of nine tires. Residents disposing of CRTs, computer monitors and TVs will not be charged a per unit fee. Residents disposing of appliances will be charged $15 per appliance. Household hazardous waste drop off will not be available during the Spring clean-up. Also, no treated wood will be accepted.

Guidelines include the following:

–All residents must wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.

–Residents must be through the gate at 4 p.m. If you are waiting in line that will not constitute entry.

–Expect longer wait times due to social distancing protocols while dumping (there must be adequate space out of all residents while they unload.

–Uncovered load fee of $2 per ton ($2 minimum).

Senior citizens and disabled persons will only be the week of April 11 through April 15 and can schedule assistance for curbside pickup starting March 28, by calling Corcoran Public Works at 992-2151 extension 2201. Large bulky items that fit in toter are not eligible.
