Corcoran Adult School classes will begin Tuesday, Aug. 17. Enrollment for those classes will begin Aug. 10th.

Anyone requesting Independent Study must bring in verification of employment. Corcoran Adult School is offering courses which can lead to a high school diploma, Adult Basic Skills (math, reading, and writing), and English as a Second Language (ESL). The ESL program is for students who wish to learn to read, write and speak English. Enrollment for all classes is open year round. Classes are held daily or on an Independent Study Basis.


Classes are held as follows:


–High School Diploma / GED Preparation: 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m., daily.


–Adult Basic Education: 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m., daily.


–English as a Second Language: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday.


–High School Diploma: (Independent Study Classes), 4-7 p.m., Monday and Wednesday.

The cookie contest was decided by just one point and taking home first place was Tiffany Singleton who submitted snickerdoodles. In second place in the cookie contest was Patti Rodriguez who won with her Raspberry Ribbon Cookies.
