The Corcoran High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students had a great day at the Kings County Fair. Two students brought home the top prizes and they included Lulu Ramirez who won the Reserve Grand Champion in the Sheep Division and Audrey McCarty who earned the Reserve Champion in the Beef Cattle Division.

Kings County Fair results are as follows:

–Sheep: Showmanship:

Of the top six kids in Advanced FFA Showmanship, five of them were from Corcoran FFA. Corcoran FFA had 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 9th place in Advanced FFA Showmanship for sheep.

Haley Nolta placed first in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship and first Overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Lulu Ramirez took second in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship and second overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Jayden Diaz placed third in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship and fourth overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Payton Echavarria placed first in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship and fifth overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Desairay Matadamas took second in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship and sixth overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

–Sheep: Market:

Lulu Ramirez earned the FFA Reserve Grand Champion and first in her Market Class.

Haley Nolta took first in her Market Class; Kandice Hernandez placed first in her Market Class; Noah Hernandez second in his Market Class; and Molly Saenz took second in her Market Class.

–Sheep Breeding:

Lulu Ramirez took first place Spring Ewe in her Class.

–Goats: Showmanship:

Kaitlyn Sherwood placed first in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship and first Overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Misty Gomez placed second in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Sam Alvarado took second in Class Novice FFA Showmanship.

Vianjy Pineda placed third in Class Novice FFA Showmanship.

–Sheep Market:

Kaitlyn Sherwood placed first in Class FFA Market.

–Pigs: Showmanship:

Kaylee Carrillo took first in Class Novice FFA Showmanship and first Overall Novice FFA Showmanship.

Janet Gamino placed third in Class Novice FFA Showmanship and third Overall Novice FFA Showmanship.

Jocelyn Rodriguez took fourth in Class Novice FFA Showmanship and fourth Overall Novice FFA Showmanship.

Audrey McCarty placed first in Class Advanced FFA Showmanship and first Overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Tyler Gonzalez placed third Overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Goyo Barrerra took sixth Overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

Dalton Armbruster placed ninth Overall Advanced FFA Showmanship.

–Pigs Market

Audrey McCarty, Yudith Mendez and Eduardo Raya all took first in Class FFA Market.

Alexis Herrera, Kassidy Frey, Tyler Gonzalez and Sierra Ortiz all placed second in Class FFA Market.

–Beef Cattle: Showmanship:

Kevin Rubio-Chavez placed first in Class Novice FFA Showmanship and FIRST Overall Novice FFA Showmanship.
