The Corcoran Journal is once hosting its Christmas Cookie and Fudge contest so local residents can dust off those old family recipes and enter for a chance to win $100 in Corcoran Cash. First place in each category will win $100 and second place winners will earn $50.
Judging will take place Monday, Dec. 15. Deadline for turning in entries is Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. Winners will be notified by Tuesday morning and can pick up their prizes.
Participants need to bring one dozen of their cookies or pieces of fudge. Participants can have more than one entry. The entries should be placed on disposable plates or containers. Recipes should be attached to each entry.
Judges will pick winners based on taste, texture and appearance. Entry forms are currently available at The Journal office, located at 1012 Hale Ave. For more information call the newspaper at 992-3115.
