The Corcoran Chamber of Commerce SummerFest and Aftermath Car Show will be held Saturday, May 9 in downtown Corcoran.
Currently, plans are being into place for the event which had over 400 cars in attendance last year. To submit your car into this year’s show fill out a registration form which are available at the Corcoran chamber office, 1040 Whitley Avenue.
Also, vendor applications are being accepted. Vendors must provide their own electricity, tables and tents. Only a limited number of vendors will be accepted per food item so vendors are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. Both space fees for vendors is as follows: chamber members are free, food vendors are $100, craft vendors are $75, non-profit vendors are $50, non-chamber Corcoran merchants and information vendors are $20. Food vendors must also submit their health department permit.
Chili and salsa cooks can dust off their family recipe and get a team together for the event. Entry fee is just $25. Chili and salsa must be prepared at the event. First and second place prizes will be given in three categories: traditional chili, chili with beans and salsa. Awards will also be given for Best Decorated Booth, and Best Team Name.
