The Corcoran Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for both vendor booths and parade entries for the upcoming Corcoran Cotton Festival. This year’s festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 2 at the J.G. Boswell II Park at the Recreation Association of Corcoran (RAC).
The Cost Less Foods Cotton Parade will kick things off at 10 a.m. This year’s theme is the Wonderful World of Disney.
For parade entries the parade starts at 10 a.m. and will start at King Avenue and end at Dairy Avenue in front of the RAC. Categories include floats-civic and non-profit; floats-commercial; floats-school; floats-family; equestrian-single, pairs and group; bands-high school and Jr. High/elementary; antique car; comic and novelty; marching/walking group; performing group (dancers, twirlers, etc.) decorated motor vehicle; antique farm equipment; and equipment; plus other.
Entry to the parade is free and a form must be filled out in order to participate. Forms are available at the chamber office at 1040 Whitley Avenue.
Vendor booth applications are also currently being accepted. Food vendors will need to contact the chamber office at 992-4514 to see what items are available to sell. Craft and informational vendors can also contact the chamber for more information. Deadline to sign-up is Friday, Sept. 24.
