The Corcoran Police Department is requesting help from the public in two separate cases.
Friday, Aug. 28 at 4:24 a.m., Corcoran Police officers responded to the 1600 block of Dairy Avenue regarding a fire. On arrival officers found a residential structure on fire. Kings County Department responded and extinguished the fire.
The case is currently being investigated by the Corcoran Police and Kings County Fire Department.
Thursday, Aug. 27 at 8:43 p.m. Corcoran Police officers responded to the 900 block of Estes Avenue regarding shots fired. On arrival officers located several spent shell casings in the alley between Estes and Letts Avenue in the 900 block. Officers located bullet holes in the house that was targeted. This is believed to be gang related and the investigation is ongoing.
