Daniel Maurice Gabbard of Armona passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the age of 77 years.  Dan was born in Modesto and resided in Corcoran for over 60 years.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked for 40 years as a heavy equipment operator.  He worked for several employers including:  Barber Spreading, Salyer’s, Boswell and Wood Bros.  Dan enjoyed fishing, was very talented at barbecuing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
Dan is survived by four sons, Daniel Wayne Gabbard of Texas, Tommy Gabbard of Hanford, Shawn M. Gabbard of Armona and Daniel William Gabbard of Bakersfield; three daughters, Danette Couch and Deanna Hall, both of Hanford and Melissa Krantz of Armona; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Wednesday, March 8 from 4-7 p.m. at PhippsDale Funeral Chapel in Lemoore.  A graveside service will be held Monday, March 13 at the Corcoran District Cemetery.
