Danny Burden Sr. passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of August 14, 2022 in Grabill, Indiana. He was born on October 30, 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Danny came to California as a young boy where his family eventually settled in Corcoran. He went on to meet and marry “his doll” Mary Helen Chavez and had six children. After her death in 1975, he later met and married Peggy Lee Hunt and had two more children.
Danny decided in 2019, after reconnecting with long lost family from Indiana in 2017, to move back to his birth state where he resided with his sister Beverly until his death.
Danny is survived by Peggy; four sons, Mark Burden (Debbie) and Matthew Burden (Amanda) of Corcoran, Brian Burden of Tulare and Danny Burden Jr. (Jessie) of Visalia; three daughters, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hill of Tulare, Anna Garcia of Corcoran and Alicia Becerra (Isaac) of Fresno; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tiny and Betty Ramirez, his first wife, Mary Helen and son, Eric Burden Sr.
Services for Danny were held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Reception was held at the Senior Center building at the YMCA/RAC following the service.
