Memorial services were held Saturday, July 31 at 10 a.m. at Corcoran Free Will Baptist Church for David Cortez, 64, who died July 16.
David was born May 5, 1957. He graduated from CHS in 1976 and worked as a truck driver for Hansen Ranches and then for Apple Freight.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Villagran; daughters, Katlin and Claudette from Napa, Idaho and Tanija Baker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his brother, Danny Cortez of Bakersfield; and nephew, Matthew Cortez of Bakersfield.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Free Will Baptist Church, 1021 Dairy Avenue.
