It is with great sadness that the family of David Floyd Cribbs announces his sudden passing after a heart attack on Monday, December 21, 2015, at the age of 67 years.
David is lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Patricia (Pat) Joseph Cribbs, and his children, Katrina, and Eric (Liana). David also will be fondly remembered by his sister, Dana Cribbs-Dyar, his nephews Brett Dyar, Michael Cribbs, Ronnie Cribbs, and Chris Cribbs. He will be fondly remembered by Pat’s parents, Ronald and Marie Joseph, her sister, Kathe Joseph Machado, her brothers Renn (Linda) Joseph, Clyde (Michelle) Joseph, David Joseph, nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends. David was predeceased by his father, Daniel Ervin Cribbs, his brother Stanley Ervin Cribbs, and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Ketner Cribbs.
David proudly served his Country in the United States Navy, 1967-1973, on the USS Constellation CV-64 in Bremerton, Washington.
He retired after 23 years of employment with California Water Service Company in Visalia.
David was an ardent hunter and fisherman, an enthusiastic traveler and camper, an avid Dodgers and Seahawks fan, and loved growing his “Texas Longhorn” Okra.
He devoted his life to family and friends, giving unselfishly of his time and resources.
A service for David F. Cribbs was held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Visalia District Cemetery.
