Local police are seeking information regarding the death of a two-year-old girl Feb. 1.

According to the police department, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Claire Ave. after receiving a report of an unresponsive child. When officers arrived, the child had already been transported to Adventist Medical Center in Hanford. She was then moved to Children’s Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.


The department is investigating the cause of death of the child. No suspects have been identified or arrests have been made.
