Dennis Ralph Thomas was born October 18, 1950, to Ralph and Suvda Thomas, and passed away peacefully on March 9, 2022.
Dennis lived in Corcoran his entire life. Dennis worked for his father’s grocery store, Quality Market and also worked for Jim Griffin at Square Deal Market. He graduated from Corcoran High in 1968 then attended COS for 2 years. While attending COS, he worked for the Visalia Fire Department. There they taught him how to play Ping Pong and Solitaire, which to this day, he still loved to play.
Dennis worked for his dad cutting and bucking hay, he loved the smell of fresh-cut hay. Dennis finished out his 39 years at J.G. Boswell Company as a Harvest Supervisor. Dennis cared a lot about his employees and loved them dearly. They would call him to stop by their crews for thin meat and tortillas, and always complimented him as being “The best Boss”.
Denny loved to go frog gigging and he would load up the kids on a Friday or Saturday night, and go. He also loved to go camping with his family and friends. He loved to play Dominoes with his sisters and brothers-in-law. Any time you talked with Dennis, he had a story about his latest trips, dreams, and memories. Every day you could find Dennis out in his garage working on projects of any size. He loved working in his garage building birdhouses, swings, and benches.
When Dennis would go anywhere, you would always see him with his dog Maggie. Maggie always made Dennis laugh and would always know when it was time to go, always letting out a little howl when she was ready for her next adventure. Dennis loved Maggie.
Dennis was a family man. He loved getting together, whether it be birthdays or barbecues. Christmas was his favorite holiday, and during Halloween, he loved to sit on the porch and pass out candy to the kids. He got so much joy out of making the kids happy.
