Mass services were held in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1 for Deo Mata, 89, who died Jan. 20.

Born in Nayarit, Mexico March 22, 1929, Mr. Mata worked as a rancher for 70 years. He was married to Lillian Mata for 62 years.
Survivors include his son, Armando Mata; daughter, Rosalva Mata; siblings, Salvador, Jose, Ampelio, Jeno, Carmen and Concha; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Dale and Frank.
Visitation were held Thursday, Jan. 31 at the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel from 3-6 p.m. Rosary was planned for Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Catholic Church.
Following mass services Friday, Feb. 1, interment was at Corcoran District Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel.
