
Dr. Joyce Marie Keyes Williams was born in Corcoran, Ca. January 30, 1971, to May and Alfred Keyes Sr. While living in Lathrop, CA, with husband of 23 years, Tedd Williams, Joyce took ill on Aug. 25th, 2018. At the tender age of 47, Joyce was called home, Sept. 25th, 2018.
In 1989, Joyce graduated from CHS as one of the top students in her class. Joyce earned a plethora of academic scholarships. In 1994, Joyce received her B.A. in History from UC Berkeley. In 1999, Joyce received her MPA in Public Administration and Policy, at CSU Hayward and in 2015, Joyce received her Ph. D in Public-Policy and Administration from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy in Albany, NY.
A profound woman of God, Joyce brought joy, inspiration, encouragement, spiritual uplifting, and love to all she knew. She touched the hearts and souls of many people as a wife, daughter, sister, educator, and friend.
She leaves behind parents, May and Alfred Keyes Sr., husband, Tedd Williams, siblings; Felicia (William) Dean, Alfred (Alana) Keyes Jr., and Takeera (Mahlon) Mack and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Friday, October 12, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Harvest Community Baptist Church, 144 North Dairy Ave. Corcoran, CA 93212 with a reception to follow at Church of Light, 750 Pickerell in Corcoran.
