Esperanza B. Garcia “Hope” was born on October 12, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Simon Bega and Julia Guerrero Bega. She left to be with the Lord on November 5, 2021 in Visalia, California.
Hope was a very loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was full of life. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to bake, and spent lots of time in her garden.
She especially loved trips with her husband and family gatherings. She was a devoted Catholic and long-time parishioner at Holy Family Church.
Hope is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul Jr Garcia; four daughters, Patricia Ann Garcia and Scott Chow of Visalia, Monica and Manuel Nevarez of Visalia, Nina Garcia of Visalia, and Sarah and Carlos Martinez of Fresno; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Julia Bega, daughter, Stacy Lee Garcia, grandson, Victor Murillo, Jr., brother, Ruben Bega and sister, Connie Silva.
Rosary was held at Bledsoe Family Peoples Funeral Chapel, 1501 Whitley Avenue Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Visalia Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with burial at Visalia Cemetery at noon.
