Celebration of Life services were held Tuesday for Esther G. Martinez, who was born in Robstown, Texas April 18, 1931 to parents Teofilo Garcia and Candelaria Vera Garcia. 

She passed away at her home at the age of 84 surrounded by her family on August 5, 2015. 

Esther is survived by her children, Hector De Leon, Eli De Leon, Judy Palomarez, Iona Aragon and Jimmie de Leon; 16 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sister, Mary Taylor . 

She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, husband, Jose Martinez and son, Daniel De Leon.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel.
