Geneva Haley was born April 26, 1926 in Oklahoma to Arthur E. Thatcher and Florence Cato Thatcher. She passed away in Chowchilla Saturday, June 20, 2015.
Geneva was raised in Oklahoma and moved to Missouri where she lived on a ranch. She lived in Missouri until she married Henry Haley May 13, 1945 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Geneva and Henry moved to Kansas where they worked on a farm before moving to Corcoran where she made her home for 68 years.
Geneva received her AA degree in Business and began working. She worked as a dietary assistant for Corcoran District Hospital for 32 yrs.
She was a very funny lady, she loved to cook, loved her family and traveling.
Survivors include her daughter Donna Goodman and husband Larry of Merced; her grandchildren, Lori Goodman of Merced, Jeff Goodman of Turlock and Ryan Parker of Lemoore; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 1983 and daughter, Evelyn in 1992.
Visitation was held at Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel, Friday, June 26 between 3-6 p.m. Graveside services was held at Corcoran Cemetery Saturday, June 27 at 11 a.m.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel in Corcoran.
