Services were held Friday, Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. in the First Baptist Church for George (Junebug) Lofton III, 51, who died Aug. 12 in Hanford.
Junebug was born to the union of George Lofton Jr. and Annie Pearl Lofton Feb. 15, 1966. He attended school in Corcoran graduating from Corcoran High in 1985. He went on to attend Yuba City College. While attending school in Corcoran, Junebug made a name for himself by pop locking, playing football and baseball. He was known to the whole community for his athletic ability. Survivors include his ex-wife Mary Lofton; his fiancée Connie Bryson; his children, Brittney Cole (Tyiesha Cole), Stefan Perkins, George Brandon Lofton and six step-children; his sisters, Sharon Jones, Marilyn Moore and Audrey McKenzie. The First Baptist Church is located at 900 Gardner Avenue in Corcoran. Arrangements were made by Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel.
