
Mass services was held Feb. 9 (Thursday) at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Georgina L. Becerra, 44, who died Jan. 28 in Hanford.
A lifelong resident of Corcoran, Mrs. Becerra was born in Hanford. She worked as a paraprofessional at Bret Harte School in the preschool program.
Georgina really loved tutoring kids. She was a 1990 graduate of Corcoran High School. She had obtained her associate’s degree in liberal arts from College of the Sequoias. She was also enrolled at National University and would have obtained her bachelor’s degree in May 2017. Mrs. Becerra also volunteered at the YMCA/Recreation Association of Corcoran. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching sporting events and supporting local youth.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Becerra of Corcoran; two daughters, Jazzy Becerra and Toni Becerra, both of Corcoran; two sisters, Antonia Keeling of Kingsburg and Joann Andrade of Corcoran; a brother, Sam Andrade of Corcoran; two Godchildren, Anthony Escobedo and Frances Gomez; brothers-in law; sisters-in-law; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her dad Freddie Lee Andrade Sr., mother, Mary Ann Andrade; brother, Fred Lee Andrade Jr., and grandparents, Fred and Mary Papion and George and Josephina Andrade.
Prior to mass services at 10 a.m., visitation was held at 9 a.m. Following services, interment was held at Corcoran District Cemetery.
