Glenn Kreider passed peacefully at home on Oct. 23 with his loving family and George by his side.
The youngest of three, he was born in Tulare on February 13, 1937 to Earl and Grace Kreider.
He spent his entire life in Tulare. He graduated from Tulare Union in 1954. Right after graduation he went to work for Mid-Valley Chemical Company then it was Pure Gro, Best and Oxy and finally it was J.R. Simplot. He retired Sept. 1, 2001.
In 1975 he bought a small farm in Waukena, where he eventually planted Pistachio trees. He loved his trees. He named each and every one.
Glenn married Cheyl Coy in 1962. They have two daughters, Debra and Deanna. Deanna is married to Kelly Dye, the son Glenn never had. He loved Kelly like a son. Deanna and Kelly have two sons, Eric and Seth, who were the loves of Glenn’s life. Eric is married to Demi Walker.
Glenn did not wish for people to stand at a gravesite and mourn but instead celebrate his life and know that he lives on in each person he encountered.
Glenn, who was often called the mayor of Waukena, was also a volunteer fireman for the Waukena Fire Department for 20 years. Glenn also belonged to the 1956 F-100 Ford Pickup Club for many years. His favorite pickup was his 1956 Candy Apple Red Ford Big Window. His next one was his 1956 three door pickup that was used on the railroads. It was featured in the April 1993 Truckin Magazine.
