Services will be held Monday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. at New Hope Fellowship for Israel Becerra, Jr., 59, who died Dec. 28, 2014 in Hanford.

Becerra worked as a heavy equipment operator for 41 years. He enjoyed attending car shows where he could see the latest hot rods and muscle cars. He also enjoyed collecting anything vintage, antiques as well as Indian artifacts and old newspapers. He also loved watching old westerns and having family get-togethers.

 

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; his children, Monica Becerra, Joseph Becerra and David Becerra; siblings, Maria Carmen Quintanilla, Maria Estella Becerra, Maria Eustolia Santana and Rene Becerra; and seven grandchildren.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents Israel Becerra Sr. and Maria Zamaripa Becerra.

 

Visitation will be held at Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel, Sunday, January 4 from 3-7 p.m. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel in Corcoran.
