Man arrested on multiple charges

Tuesday, 18 September 2018 20:41 Written by  Jeanette Todd

An investigation that started in July has led to the arrest of a Corcoran man on charges of stalking. Officers picked up Ron Subia, 62, last week after serving him with a warrant.
They first received a report from a woman on July 23, who said she was being stalked by Subia, with whom she had had a previous relationship. The woman said Subia had been stalking her for the past two years and she had observed him parked at her work and had caught him following her while she was out of town on multiple occasions.
The victim stated Subia had threatened retaliation against her if she ever reported him to the police. The investigation also determined that Subia had opened and used a credit account in the victim’s name.
Subia was booked into the Corcoran Police Department on the warrant that charged him with stalking, identity theft and witness intimidation. He was later transported and booked at the Kings County Jail in Hanford with bail set at $160,000.
