Carmen De Anda De La Fuente

Carmen De Anda De La Fuente was born in Upland, California January 30, 1941.  She died October 12, 2018 in Hanford at the age of 77. 
Carmen worked for Corcoran Unified School District for 37 years. She was a hard worker and accepted any challenges.   Although she held various positions while employed for the school she enjoyed community contact most.  Carmen was a great cook and was always looking forward to cooking family meals on Sundays and was known for sharing her tamales at Christmas time.  She was a strong independent woman, always putting her family first.  After her retirement in 2007, Carmen enjoyed going to Tachi Palace and camping with her family.
Survivors include her children Yolanda and husband Danny Pacheco, Luis De La Fuente, Jr., Frank De La Fuente, Barbara and husband Tom Franco and Donna Chavez; her siblings, Leo De Anda, Stella Apodaca, Jimmy De Anda, Julia Collins, Alberta De Anda, Richard De Anda and Margarita Gomez; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Danny De La Fuente in 2016.
Memorial mass was held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  Following mass services, inurnment was held at Corcoran Cemetery.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel.
