Wilma was a bookkeeper for over 30 years. She and Durwood owned and operated Durwood’s Department Store for 12 years and then owned the Quality Market for numerous years.  While in High School she served as Senior Class President.  Her first job was at the local theatre as an usherette. Wilma attended the First United Methodist since she was five-years-old.   She was Secretary and Treasurer at the Church and was also on the church board. Wilma was an excellent cook; she enjoyed quilting, knitting, and yard work. She was an avid reader and loved doing her crossword puzzles.  She was also a long time member of Ladies Auxillary. Wilma also loved box turtles and land turtles.
Wilma is survived by her children, Ron Burruss and wife Cheryl and Jan Burruss and wife, Ann; grandchildren, Justin Burruss and Elaine Burruss; great-grandchildren Adney Burruss and Arla Burruss; and a sister, Margaret Stadden.
She was buried at Corcoran Cemetery after services which were held last week at the First United Methodist Church.
Remembrances may be sent to the First United Methodist Church.  Arrangements were made under the direction of the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel.
