KCAO program to offer help to those affected by COVID-19 pandemic

The Kings Cares program helps COVID positive essential workers isolate and quarantine safely in their home or in a hotel.With over 640 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Corcoran since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, residents who need support and assistance after testing positive there is now help. The Kings Community Action organization is offering a support program for essential workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 and need to quarantine. The Kings Cares program helps COVID positive essential workers isolate and quarantine safely in their home or in a hotel.Healthy food, cleaning supplies, toiletries, transportation and laundry service, and utilities/housing assistance are also available. Essential workers and their families who have tested positive for COVID-19 or been issued isolation or quarantine orders by Kings County Public Health are eligible for the program. The essential workforce includes workers in food, agriculture, healthcare, education, emergency response and more. Additional eligibility requirements may apply for some services.
