Joe Leon Parks passed away in the comfort of his own home on Sunday the 19th of April, 2020.

He was born Jan. 12, 1946 in Van Buran, Ar. to his parents Troy Leon Parks and Jenny Mar Parks. He is the second of eight children Wanda, Sue, Kay, Jackie, Larry, Judy and Terri. The family relocated early in Joe’s life to Corcoran, Ca. in Kings County.
Joe was a sports enthusiast and loved all things New York Yankees, he was a baseball historian. He was also an avid boxing fan.  Joe had a knack for story-telling and there was nothing better than to hear him speak on Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio, Sonny Liston… the list is endless.
He was a member of Teamsters 367 early in his adult life until he fell in love with Antiques. Antiquing became his love, hobby and career for the next 40 years. He was addicted to the hunt for the next hidden treasure.
Joe is survived by three children, Karri Parks Waterhouse, Joey Parks and Jaime Parks as well as nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
One of his favorite quotes is “you better cut the pizza in four pieces because I’m not hungry enough to eat six” ~Yogi Berra.
