
John “JP” Spatafore, 78, of Clovis, California died peacefully Saturday, May 16, 2015, in Fresno, California.
John was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, on August 22, 1936 to Rosa and Giuseppe Spadafora. He graduated from Victory High School in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force for three years (1954 1957); while in Bakersfield, met and married his wife, Glory, attended California State University Los Angeles, graduating in 1964 with a degree in Business Administration. John spent more than thirty years employed by both J.G. Boswell Co. in Corcoran, California and Land O’Lakes in Tulare before retiring to pursue avid interests such as gardening, golf, the Fresno State Bulldogs, and rooting for his beloved West Virginia Mountaineers.
John is survived by his wife, Glory, two sons, Chuck, and Chris, a daughter, Julie, eleven grandchildren, and three great granddaughters; he is also survived by his sisters, Anna Louise, Genevieve, and his brother, Joseph. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Steven.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Knights of Columbus Chapter 6008 in Corcoran, California.
