Maria Perez, a student at John Muir Middle School has been selected as this week’s Wildcat of the Week. Perez was selected from a pool of nominees who met one or more of the pillars of the Character Counts program. She is in the eighth grade.
“Maria is a very helpful and hardworking student. She maintains excellent grades in all of her subjects and routinely assists other students around her that may be struggling. She exemplifies the seven pillars of Character Counts on a daily basis by demonstrating trustworthiness respect and good citizenship,” said Mr. Brown. “Maria is also a great example to her fellow students by following the Wildcat OPS – having respect for others, property and self. Maria is a pleasure to have in my class.”
Maria is the daughter of Elda and Lindorge Perez.

Danielle Alvarez claims to enjoy everything about her job, especially playing with the budget, moving funds around and seeing how it all flows. That is a good thing as she is the school district’s administrative assistant/fiscal services and her main job is to prepare the district’s financial statements.
