Jose Guerrero was born in Santa Maria Miramar, Michoacán to Jesus Guerrero Mendoza and Elosia Giron Barbosa. Jose passed away in his hometown of Santa Maria Miramar in Michoacan.
Jose was a resident of Corcoran since 1974 when he started working for the J.G Boswell Company as a Tractor Operator. In 2012, he retired from the company and would spend his time between Corcoran and Michoacan.
Jose was an immigrant from Mexico and raised his family in Corcoran and ensured that his strong work ethic and drive was passed on to his children. Jose was an active member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Church. During his youth he played soccer and was on various championship teams in Mexico and would participate in the J.G. Boswell Olympics playing soccer or softball. In his spare time Jose loved to play soccer in local adult leagues, grow various vegetables, fruit trees, plants at his home in Corcoran and raise cattle in Mexico.
Jose is survived by his wife Esperanza Wences; children, Elizabeth Guerrero (Antonio Padilla), Gabriela Cruz (Michael Cruz), Jesus Guerrero (Pauline Guerrero) and Adriana Guerrero; grandchildren, Analisa, Marilena, Antonio Jose and Isabella Padilla, Maya and Natalia Cruz, Demaree Carreon, Jesse, Jordan and Ella Guerrero.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ramona and Hermelinda Guerrero and his parents, Jesus Guerrero Mendoza and Elosia Giron Barbosa.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 23, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at the Corcoran District Cemetery. Please follow social distancing rules and wear a mask. Rosary and Mass Services will be scheduled at a later date at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Corcoran.
