Mass services were held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Friday, September 8 at 10 a.m. for Juan “Johnny” Cruz Solis, 57, who died August 26 in Bakersfield.

Mr. Solis was born in El Paso, Texas on August 31, 1959.  He served in the United States military for 17 years during Desert Storm.  He worked as a Stationary Engineer for Corcoran prisons.  Survivors include his wife, Rosie; daughters, Socorro and Connie; his parents, Francisco and Rachel Sandoval; and four grandchildren. Following services, interment with honors was held at Corcoran District Cemetery.
